In MyoSomatic Yin, we don’t rush into stillness — we arrive there fully prepared. Before settling into Yin’s long-held postures, the class seamlessly weaves together myofascial release using foam rollers and mindful somatic movement. The foam rolling hydrates fascia, restores glide between layers, and signals the nervous system to let go, while the flowing, intuitive movements lubricate the joints, awaken proprioception, and deepen awareness of sensation and breath.
Foam rollers and blocks are used throughout the practice not only as tools for release, but also as supportive props during Yin’s longer holds. These elements help you find the perfect balance between sensation and support, allowing the fascia to soften, the joints to feel nourished, and the mind to drop into deep rest.
